The JIAS project was a bit of a challenge because of it's limited space, and lack of sun. This translated into an area of sloped grass that just wouldnt grow, and in wet months would end up as a sloppy mess. They also required a variety of components to cater to a younger age group.

JIAS wanted to maintain somewhat of a natural setting, so it was concluded that it would be best to do a blend of low maintenance surfacing solutions. Active Playground installed a colourful alternating safety tile surfacing solution under the main play area, and where the ground sloped, we installed beautiful, and natural looking artificial turf safety surfacing (ActiveTurf).

The play area consisted of a cute and cozy toddler Discovery play structure, and a compact 4-way rocker, with animal characters. A pair of Sandlock Sand tables over ActiveTurf was a favourite, and a circle table with seat (part of our Beginnings line) finished off the playspace as a creative area.
